# About GAMS

## Who we are

Global Asset Management Standards (GAMS) is a Luxembourg nonprofit association (association sans but lucratif, or ASBL). We bring together asset management professionals who contribute their expertise and time voluntarily to develop and share practical industry resources.

## Our mission

Our mission is to improve transparency and efficiency in asset management by making standards, templates, definitions and guidance freely accessible. Through collaboration, we aim to reduce duplication, cost, waste and operational risk, support regulatory compliance, and benefit investors.

## What we do

GAMS provides a freely accessible library of templates, data definitions, checklists and guidance for the asset management community. Our volunteer working groups collaborate on initiatives such as standardised due diligence questionnaires and fund prospectus templates. We also provide access to relevant standards developed by other industry organisations, identifying their source.

Industry professionals can use the resources, suggest improvements, request additional coverage, and contribute to ongoing initiatives.
